How do you use D?
Just like a normal tampon applicator. You load up D with one of our organic tampons and insert the applicator into your vagina as before. Our String Lock ensures there should be no snagging when you withdraw the applicator after insertion. To clean it, just WIPE, RINSE and GO.

Why would you choose D?
Many women need applicators every month, it’s an experience they are accustomed to and a hard habit to break. D is an answer to the billions of plastic applicators being thrown away every year. DAME is rethinking the tampon by providing the comfort of an applicator, without the plastic waste. Not enough people are using reusable period products - the desire is there but the habit change is too much of a barrier. We want to keep things simple. Using D is what you do already, you just don’t throw it away.

What are organic tampons?
Our DAME tampons are made with 100% certified organic cotton. The cord is woven not glued. They are bleach-free, rayon-free, fragrance-free, hypoallergenic, and contain no synthetic superabsorbents.
ATTENTION: Tampons are associated with Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS), a rare but serious disease that may cause death. Please read and save the enclosed information that will be included with your D. Never flush your tampon.

What size of tampon can I use with D?
Any of the standard sizes. That means lite, regular, super and super plus. Currently D is not compatible with some other brands sizes (e.g. super plus extra or ultra).

How do I clean D?
During your period just WIPE (with toilet paper), RINSE (under a tap) and GO after each use. We recommend storing your D in the travel pouch when you are on the move to maintain its hygiene. This pouch will be breathable, allowing your D to dry naturally whilst remaining protected. We also recommend sterilising your D in between periods (which means putting your D in a boiling pan of water for 5 minutes, or a microwave). Further instructions on this will be available with your D.

How long can I keep my D?
For life. We believe in building long lasting products and relationships. We’ll continue to improve and rethink any of our products that don’t live up to that. Therefore if you’re not happy with the quality of your D simply return it to us and we’ll replace it. All we ask for is a small admin fee.

When will I receive my D?
We’re aiming to get D out to our UK backers by July 2018. We anticipate that the “Rest of World” shipping may take longer. We’re trying to go as quickly as possible and we will keep you updated as we go, but being the first of its kind, these things can sometimes throw a few curveballs so please bear with us.

Sustainable packaging
We’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how to make our packaging as minimal and sustainable as possible. D comes in a tin which doubles as storage for your tampons - we weren’t so keen on those ugly tampon boxes either. DAME organic tampons (only available for separate purchase through www.wearedame.co) are made in 100% biodegradable packaging.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
